Salmon Creek Rural Water Conservation Program

While we currently do not have dedicated funding for this program, we are gauging interest from residents within the Salmon Creek watershed whose water use has impacts on streamflow, including those using riparian pumps, near-channel shallow wells, or members of the Bodega Water Company system.

Through recent funding from the Department of Fish and Wildlife, we were able to provide technical and financial assistance to such residents to incentivize construction of roof rainwater catchment systems, designed to store winter water for summer use and offset dry season stream diversions.  With enough interest, we can request more funding to continue this successful program.  Eligible residents are encouraged to complete the interest form provided.
